Casepak – recycling excellence
Casepak has been delivering recycling excellence for more than 35 years. Founded by Chairman George Smith in 1973, the company has grown from a paper and cardboard recycling specialist into one of the UK’s most dynamic recycling companies, collecting, sorting and trading a wide range of recovered materials from both commercial and industrial and household collections.
As the UK’s demand for recycling services has grown, we have evolved to deliver the collection, sorting and resource recovery systems needed to help meet recycling targets. We now have two facilities located in Leicester, which provide recycling solutions for both segregated materials and dry mixed recyclables.
Recyclable materials
The recyclable materials that we collect and process are:
- paper - newspapers, magazines, catalogues, telephone directories (including Yellow Pages and other catalogues), envelopes (including window envelopes), computer paper, office paper (white and coloured), junk mail and flyers, shredded paper, greetings cards and other papers including clean paper bags and wrapping paper
- paper reels and redundant stock
- card - cardboard and corrugated boxes, egg boxes, cereal boxes, other display and food packaging, Tetra Pak and juice cartons
- plastic - plastic drinks bottles (all types including milk, water, fizzy drinks, cleaning products and beauty products), plastic food trays and containers (rigid plastic), plastic film and bags (including carrier bags and bubble wrap)
- glass - bottles and jars of all colours
- steel - steel food and drink cans
- aluminium - aluminium food and drink cans, foil, aerosols
Recycling facilities
Combined, our facilities have the capacity to process approximately 300,000 tonnes of recovered materials a year. Of this, we aim to recover 97.5% of them for re-use. Most will be sold to UK reprocessors so ensuring that the recycling loop is completed close to home.
With large pre- and post-treatment storage areas, our recycling facilities can provide you with the flexibility to manage fluctuating waste arisings.
