Once the recycled materials have been sorted, graded and baled, the Casepak team will sell it to a reprocessor. Demand for good quality recycled materials is high from UK, European and global manufacturers.
By keeping our materials free from contaminants and dry we ensure that we achieve the best possible resource value. Where possible, we send the materials to UK reprocessors, so completing the recycling loop close to home.
This is how your recycled materials are used:
- recycled cardboard and mixed papers are used to produce brown grade packaging which is converted into boxes
- recycled office stationary and printers’ waste is used in hygiene products and high-grade printing and writing papers
- recycled newspapers and magazines are used to produce recycled newsprint which is now the primary type of newsprint used by all UK newspaper publishers
