Resource recovery
The MRF has the capacity to sort 150,000 tonnes of dry mixed recovered materials a year and aims to recover 95% of the material processed as a resource. The process produces:
-
the best resource quality
-
high resource values
Materials storage
The MRF has large pre- and post-treatment storage areas. This gives additional flexibility to manage fluctuating amounts of recyclable materials from kerbside collections.
