Every tonne of recycled waste paper reduces collection, transportation and disposal costs. Future government legislation will compel businesses to recycle and impose penalties on those who don't. This is highlighted by the current landfill tax, which is set to rise year-on-year. Recycling will increasingly become the sensible option in financial terms.

Many companies do not realise that under specific packaging regulations, any business handling more than 50 tonnes of packaging per annum and with a financial turnover of more than £2 million, has a recycling and recovery obligation strictly monitored by the Environment Agency.
