Another early start! Try installing a state-of-the-art MRF in a 24 hour day when you could do with double that time. Never mind you can't short-cut doing things properly can you. Everything is really fast paced now as we head towards the end of our mechanical install. All the big components are in place - just the walking floor bunkers , a sort cabin and HVAC system to complete and we are then into the 'finishing touches' phase. The end of March officially brought in the start of British summertime and lots of glorious sunshine – hooray. Here at Casepak we’re also celebrating the start of a new 3 year contract with South Holland District Council which starts on Monday 2nd April. It’s a busy week here at the Casepak Materials Recycling Facility as we prepare for our final performance tests next week. 2012 got off to a great start with the official launch of our MRF on 16th January. Second shift at the MRF

In the last couple of weeks the amount of material being processed at the Casepak MRF has increased significantly. So much so, in fact, that we’ve now brought our second shift on stream, adding 40 new employees to the team. This brings the MRF team to 80! We’re delighted to have come so far in such a short time. Following a successful Stage 2 Audit here at the Casepak MRF, we’ve just received notification that we have attained full ISO Accreditation just six months after becoming operational. The announcement that DEFRA is on track with 90% of actions resulting from the June 2011 review of Waste Policy is good news. Not least because it signals that the implementation of the proposed MRF Code of Conduct is getting closer to becoming a reality. When we won the Leicestershire Business of the Year Award, I hadn’t quite realised the magnitude of our success.
